A day of firsts...

Today was not only my first day back at work, but also Jackson's first day at daycare. Our little man was a big hit with the ladies at the daycare...who came blame them? :)

I had a good day back at work...got to show off my baby pictures to a bunch of people! (Some were complete strangers who only wanted a flu shot!)  Glad to be back at work, but it sure is nice to be snuggling with my sweet baby boy again!

Last day of maternity leave!! :(

So....today is my last day of maternity leave; where have the last 6 weeks gone? Oh my!! It just hit me...my sweet baby boy is 6 weeks old! How unbelievable is that? And tomorrow is the big day: first day back at work and Jackson's first day at daycare! Pray we both have a good day!

Jackson's 5 week check-up

Jackson had his 5 week check-up today...and Dr. Vagehla says he's "beautiful".

Here are his stats:
Weight 11 lb 5 oz
Length 21 3/4 in
Head circumference 15 3/4 in

Looks like we still have one healthy baby boy! (But...we didn't need a doctor to tell us he's beautiful!)  :)

Born 8\9\2010 (what a cool birthdate!) at 7:37pm in Memphis, TN. He was 7 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches long. Our "big boy" surprised us all by being so big considering our ultrasound only 5 days before my induction estimated him at 6 lb 6 oz (and she said she thought that might be an overshoot!). Needless to say, we/I was a little shocked he was so big!!

A little about our "new addition":

• He's not only our first born, but he's also my parent's first grandchild, Jason's parent's first grandSON, my grandmother's first great grandchild, and my Gramps' (my great grandfather) first great great grandchild.
• He looks just like his daddy! (see picture to follow)
• He has my "monkey toes". :)
• He has a birth mark on the back of his neck that looks just like mine!
• He (so far) is not a fan of "tummy time"
• He has red hair...just like his Mama.
• He has big hands and big feet!
• He loves his hands...always has them on his face!

Meet Baby Jackson....

Our Baby Jackson is already so blessed with so many people who love him! It is overwhelming the love that his many "followers" have for our precious little baby boy! With that said....Jason and I have a hard time keeping everyone up-to-date with what is going on in our world.  So, we decided a blog might be the best way to update everyone at once.

We are going to do our best to keep you all up-to-date with our "little bundle of joy"!
