Meet Jackson and Stone:

Our boys are the light of our lives, and we can't imagine life without them! They are so blessed to have so many people in their lives who love them unconditionally and we are just as blessed to be given the privilege to be their parents!

This blog is a chronicle of our boys lives. All the milestones, all the fun times, all the silly things they do, and all of their messes!

This blog is to keep everyone up to date and to document all of those memories of our lives together that we never want to forget!

Happy 4th Birthday Jackson!!

Happy 4th birthday to Jackson! How can he already be FOUR years old?! Wasn't he just a baby? Like just yesterday? :)

Since Jackson had been fighting off that mean ole virus and high fever for a few days, we didn't have as eventful a day as we had originally planned, but Jackson wanted a hamburger and milkshake for lunch so that's exactly what we got!

At Steak n Shake for Jackson's birthday lunch!

Afterwards we had plans to go see the new Planes movie at the theater but Jackson didn't feel well and said he just wanted to go home, so we will have to catch the movie some other time.

But we did get up enough energy for some "cake and candles". He was so proud of his "4" candle and he made us sing "happy birthday" to him no less than 5 times! He would blow out the candle and say "Let's do it again! You sing the song daddy!" :)

My happy birthday boy!

The past four years sure have been fun and have flown by! Look how big my baby is getting!

And another impressive year of growth too! About 4 inches more in the past year!
That dude is gonna be tall! :)

"Just a virus, ma'am...."

So Jackson just woke up one day with a fever...and it didn't want to go away! He ran over a 103 even with ibuprofen and Tylenol and taking baths!

He was so sad..... ;(

So...we headed to the doctor to see what was causing all this fever. My boy was so sick! He was so sad!

After a strep test (negative) and some blood work (also negative), it was decided that he had a bad virus. He did NOT enjoy that finger prick to get his blood work either.

So, just like so many times before....we gave the pediatrician our copay for the diagnosis "It's just a virus, ma'am. Just a virus."

Took us a couple days to get over this one too. This virus was bad news!

Early birthday present....thanks a LOT Uncle Patrick!

So my brother, being the "thoughtful" guy that he is, gave Jackson a drum set for his birthday. A drum set people. And that boy can do some drumming let me tell you!

And... 1) Jackson says THANK YOU! and 2) I say PAYBACK! :)

Daddy/Jackson Afternoon

So while I had to work late...I get these pictures from my boys! These boys know how to have a good time....and how to make mommy jealous! :)

Popsicle time!

And a little bubble gun time while riding in the red wagon!

Riding the ranger....

Jackson and PawPaw...just a riding the ranger and wearing their shades! Two cool dudes!

Bedhead Baby!

This sweet boy slept until 8:40 this morning and let his mommy get some much needed rest! And....he wins the award for the best bedhead ever!! :)

That boy was tired! And so was his mommy!

I sure do love this kid!

I can't even explain how much I love this kid! He makes me so happy. Such a funny, silly little dude! :0

Fishin'

Jackson caught the only fish of the day! He was so proud!

And his catch sure was a big one! But he did not care for the idea of touching it! He said "Ummm....no thank you!" and then dropped it in the grass when his PawPaw gave it to him anyway!

Getting ready for bow season!

"I play in the mud! And in the rain!"

Emily turns 4!

Emily turned 4, and to celebrate she had a Frozen birthday party on a very warm day! So warm that is needed a huge waterslide to cool down! The kids had so much fun, and they were pretty fun to watch. But, if you watched too close, you just might get wet yourself! :)

Waterslide fun!

The cake!

Jackson said it was yummy!

Aren't they sweet!?

And they had a fun afternoon playing together and playing with balloons!

Happy birthday Miss Emily!

Last Day of 3K

I can't believe it is finally here! Last day of 3K and the last few days at Kaco's Kids! We sure are going to miss that school and teachers there; they have been so good to Jackson and loved and cared for him for years! Bittersweet to be leaving the school he has known since he was 6 weeks old, but here we come 4K.

Rubik's Cube

Jackson might just be a genius like his Poppa because he seems to enjoy playing with the Rubik's Cube too! Because - don't you have to be a for real genius to solve that thing? I have only known one person in the world who could solve it - my daddy!

That puppy dog face!

"But I want to sweep in the big bed!" -- "Turn off the wamp (lamp) daddy! Let's go to sweep!"

I love waking up to this sweet face on stayhome days!

Something doesn't look right here...

50/50 chance of putting them on the right way, and Jackson frequently ends up like this! Hahaha! But he doesn't seem to mind and often won't let us fix it for him! I love my independent boy!

Dirty boy!

This boy loves the dirt!
And I love the sun shining on his red hair! :)

Who do you think he looks like? :)

Daddy - Jackson - Mommy

I think I might have daddy beat with this one - but then again, he might just be a perfect combination of the both of us!

My big kid!

Ummm...how did my "baby" get so big!?!? And...how do I make it stop!? :)

Bedhead and a new hair cut!

Well, we waited as long as we could, but when the bedhead gets that bad - it means that it time to get a hair cut - even if the boy protests!

Isn't that the best smile in the entire world? It just has to be!

Silly boy!

Well, sadly, Jackson acted extremely ugly while getting his hair cut...

...and now he's mad at me and his hair looks terrible. Hopefully he learned his lesson, but I have a feeling he did not. He doesn't seem to know how dangerously close he is to a buzz cut!

Power Wheels!

Jackson sure is one lucky boy to have so many people who love him! And this is another example...

Jason's uncle Raymond got Jackson (and Abe) a power wheel!

Jackson was pumped! He said "Heeeeyyy! Look at that blue ranger! I drive it!"

Look at that smile!

"Let's go this-a-way!"

Two happy boys!

And little miss Anna Ivy (Abe's baby sister) was all smiles too! I don't think her smile had anything to do with the power wheels - she's always a smiling, happy baby!
