It's Maddox's birthday (well...it was on August 5th)!!

After a fun afternoon playing on the water slide with his friends/family, we all wished Maddox a "Happy Birthday"! How cute are those shirtless little boys all huddled around Maddox's presents?! I love it! :)

Jackson's 3rd Birthday!!

How can that be?! Didn't I just bring him home from the hospital, like yesterday?!

One excited little man! He's been looking forward to seeing this movie for a while now.

Only problem is that we were a little early, and had to waste a little too much time, and my big boy accidentally fell asleep and was just not ready to wake up when it was time to get out of the car.

Trying to wake up...I bet I know what will get his attention! :)

Happy birthday supper!

We asked Jackson what he wanted for his birthday supper and he said....PIZZA!
So that's what he got!

Since it is his birthday, we got to measure how much my boy has grown!

Woah! Crazy growth, right?

He has only gained about 2 pounds in the past year, but he has grown close to 5 inches taller!
Just amazing!

With all that growing...no wonder he doesn't sleep well at night!

Just another "I can't do it mommy" morning!

Poor guy has a hard time waking up for school in the mornings (even though it is after 7:00am)! I try to tell him it wouldn't be so bad if he slept at night, but he just won't listen to reason! Ha!

He flops around in the bed for a while whining "I can't do it! I just can't dooooo it mommy!". I know how you feel buddy, but at least you get a nap later today! :)

I have often wondered HOW does Jackson get that dirty while eating supper!?

Well....I figured it out! :)

Tropical Smoothie!

Jackson and I ventured into town the other day and made a quick pitstop by Tropical Smoothie for a snack!

Jackson got an "Awesome Orange" - which was oranges, white chocolate, and yogurt - while I opted for my all time favorite of Sunrise Sunset!

He loved it!

Only problem was he kept having trouble getting to drink it from his straw so he'd say "Fix it mommy" and hand it to me to stir up. Then he'd drink a little more and say "Fix it again mommy" and he just grinned from ear to ear!

Such a fun afternoon with my boy!

I just love him!


 

Fun in the Sun!

We spent a beautiful, sunny, summer afternoon with some of our closest friends and the kids did some good playing in the waterslide and slip-n-slide! They had a blast!

We thought the "little kids" (aka Jackson and Emily) would just want to play in the pool parts, but we were SO wrong! They climbed up and slid down the big slide more times that I can count! They were playing long after everyone else started to give up on the water fun. We had to make them take breaks and stop for the day. They LOVED it!

And I got some good (and rare these days) snuggles from my baby boy! He's usually too busy to stop and snuggle with mommy these days!

SIDE NOTE: Thanks goodness for Kid's Sport SPF 110 sunblock! No one (except Mama) got sunburned! Haha! And the worst part is - I sat under a tent the entire time unless I was snapping a picture or rescuing someone! Oh me.... :)

My Little Tornado

It is like I live with a very small tornado that tears my house to pieces daily. I can pick up every single toy...go take a shower...and walk back into THIS. My boy is a mess. And he makes a big ole mess!!

He better be glad he's so darn cute! :)
