Last week (I know I'm a little behind), Jason and I took Jackson to the Memphis Botanical Gardens to play in "My Big Backyard" which is a huge playground/walking trail/jungle gym kind of place designed specifically for toddlers and yound kids!

Jackson wanted to run in whichever direction we did not want him to run! He would have stayed on the steps entering the gardens all day if we had let him. He'd climb up the stairs; back down; back up... Finally his daddy had to carry him to the "fun part"!
Once we got him to the "Big Backyard" part...he enjoyed himself! :)

Climbing through a tunnel! "Hey! There's my Dad at the other end!!"
And there was this huge playhouse fully equipt with a slide and a rope bridge! Jackson loved running back and forth across the bridge! He loves to explore! :)
But...no matter where he goes, Jackson can seem to find one of this favorite toys...a STICK! He was perfectly content to play in the dirt with his new-found stick all afternoon!
Mama and Daddy taking a break on the hammock (while Jackson plays with his stick in the dirt!)
And yes, I am wearing my glasses - very not cool, but I had a small case of pink eye! Yuck!
Jackson riding on his daddy's shoulders. (I had to hold the stick during this time because Jax could not refrain himself from hitting his daddy in the head with it!)
After we played in the Big Backyard, we walked down to the pond to feed the coy fish!
Jackson loved throwing the food out for the fish to eat!
Look at all those fish! (Not pictured are the ducks and turtles who enjoyed themselves during feeding time too!)
