Gulf Shores - here we come! :)

Sadly, Jackson was asleep when we went through the Bankhead Tunnel!
We tried to wake him up, but it just wouldn't happen... :(
This was always one of my favorite things about the ride to the beach when I was a kid.
Jackson caught a roll and laughed a lot at Lambert's! So yummy...
He also got a balloon at Lambert's, but it didn't last too long because he needed to "fly" it out the window! :)
Jackson loves the beach and he has asked me all the time when we could go back! Needless to say, he was pumped when we headed out on vacation!
Day 1:
It may have been close to dark when we made it to the beach, but Jackson sure didn't care. He couldn't wait to get his toes in the sand and build a sandcastle!

Day 2:

Beach play is fun! And exhausting!
Jackson looked at his daddy and said, "We finally made it to the beach!" :)
I just love this kid!
I built a fish sandcastle at Jackson's request, and....he stomped with within seconds of its completion. *sigh* At least I snapped a picture before it was destroyed. Oh boy...

Day 3:
16 weeks pregnant...just that time of pregnancy where you're starting to show, but really you just look like you've put on a few pounds to the general public! Haha! :)

Beautiful scenery and weather this beach trip!
After the "sand in the eye incident of 2014" the boys decided to take a little nap. Now hopefully Jackson listens when we tell him its a bad idea to throw sand... doubtful!
Day 4:
I love finding shells!
So, he definitely threw sand at me in an attempt to stop me from taking his picture. Seems he didn't learn his lesson and it sure didn't stop this picture obsessed mama from taking more pics!
I think he could totally be a beachwear model!
And he loved the pool too! And thankfully it was in the shade! This sunscreen wearing family can't handle all that direct sunlight! Haha!
Now THAT is exhausted! But he will never agree to stop playing long enough to rest....

And...... headed home we made sure Jackson was awake when we went through the tunnel! He was PUMPED! He thought it was totally awesome (which it is!!).
We found a giant watermelon on our trip home too!
