Meet Jackson and Stone:

Our boys are the light of our lives, and we can't imagine life without them! They are so blessed to have so many people in their lives who love them unconditionally and we are just as blessed to be given the privilege to be their parents!

This blog is a chronicle of our boys lives. All the milestones, all the fun times, all the silly things they do, and all of their messes!

This blog is to keep everyone up to date and to document all of those memories of our lives together that we never want to forget!

It happened!

Well...I knew it would happen soon, but today was the day! Jackson finally figured out how to get OUT of his crib.

I put him down for nap today, and a little while later I heard him in his room making noise. I peeked in and he was still laying down, but was a little restless. I let him be because that is not uncommon while trying to fall asleep. I go back into the kitchen and minutes later, I heard noises from his room again, but this time it sounds like he's playing in his bed. I just knew he was jumping up and down in his bed trying to reach his mobile, but today....I was wrong!

I walked into his room to find him sitting on the floor outside of his bed!! I had a fit! A fit I tell you! :)

When I started hollering and saying, "How in the world did you get out of your bed?!?!", Jackson just grinned from ear to ear! He was so proud of his new accomplishment!

This is a game changer! I do believe a toddler bed is in his very near future! (And I'm tearing up just thinking about it! My boy is growing up!) ;(

Later that afternoon (after he refused my multiple attempts at nap time), Jackson added to his list of new accomplishments when he opened the child safety lock on the doors going into the office! He actually did it twice, but the first time I just found him in there so I just assumed the doors were unlocked. The second time, I watched it happen! He put his fingers on the buttons then pushed really hard on the doors then...pop! The doors were open! He knew he wasn't supposed to be in there too because he looked around at me to see if I was watching before he went to investigate my book shelves! (There is this little blue glass bird in that book shelf that he just NEEDS to touch as often as possible!) As soon as he saw me and I said "No!" he just giggled and ran away!
Game changing day! Thinks might just get interesting now. Wish us luck!

Big day!
