Meet Jackson and Stone:

Our boys are the light of our lives, and we can't imagine life without them! They are so blessed to have so many people in their lives who love them unconditionally and we are just as blessed to be given the privilege to be their parents!

This blog is a chronicle of our boys lives. All the milestones, all the fun times, all the silly things they do, and all of their messes!

This blog is to keep everyone up to date and to document all of those memories of our lives together that we never want to forget!

Reasons to never take a toddler shopping...

And here is reason number 4,792 why you should NEVER take a toddler shopping with you. Even if it is for him. Just don't do it. I know, I know - you might think "It'll be okay and I NEED to bring him with  me to make sure what size he wears", but don't do it. Just guess at the size and return it to the store another day if it is wrong! Learned this lesson the hard way!

He was so entertained by the displays in the store! I, however, not so entertained! I stopped him from crawling under a display one time and held him still while I threatened him with everything I could think of and what did he do? He hollered out "You're hurting me mommy!!" for the entire store to hear! Oh boy!

Thankfully we both made it out of this shopping trip alive!
Never again!
Someone remind me of this day if I ever attempt it again, please!!

"Numbers!!"

 "Loooookkkk Mommy! NUMBERS!!" :)

I swear I just turned my head for a second and...this happened.

He's a mess and he can make a big ole mess!!

You'll be happy to know that I got him to pick them all up too! Took about 3 hours, but we made it happen!

I love this silly boy!

Stay home days are so fun! I am so glad that I have at least one weekday (sometimes two depending on my schedule each week) where I get to spend the whole day with this little guy!

We like to snuggle. Watch Toy Story repeatedly. Play airplanes. And so much more!

He's a hoot I tell you! And sometimes a handful too! :)

My smiling boy! :)

Jackson's "silly face"!

Fun morning with my silly boy!

Sleeping with a toddler!

With my new store, I sometimes don't make it home before bedtime (not often though - Jackson like to wait up on his mommy!). This specific night I came in late - about 10:30pm - rough day at work - and the boys were already in bed. I just can't come home after 12+ hours of work and just go straight to bed, so after about an hour of decompressing, I go into my bedroom to find my boys....like this!

Sadly, this is the same position we usually sleep in even when mommy is in the bed too! He likes to sneak in the bed with us during the night and this is how it almost always ends up before morning. :)

Rough nights sleep for mommy and daddy - while Jackson sleeps like a rock!

Wore slap out!

Now that is wore slap out! :)

What color is that?

So I know I've said it before, but my boy is so smart! We were getting dressed the other morning, and while we were talking, I asked Jackson the question that I ask him all day long..."What color is that?" I ask him all the time because we are working on learning more colors and reinforcing the colors he already knows.

Well....this morning I asked "What color is your shirt?" and he said "Blue!" That's right!!
Then I asked "What color are your shorts?" expecting the answer to be "brown" - his response? "Khaki!" That's right people....he said KHAKI!!! How does he even know that?

Genius is tell you. It is the only explanation....well other that the incredible genetics he was passed down from his parents and grandparents of course! :)

My little artist!

Jackson came home from school...like this the other day!

My little artist needed to express himself I guess! And they had tried to wash it off at school too! Took some serious scrubbing to get him clean during bath!

And that my friends....is reason number 4,783 why you don't leave Jackson unattended with markers!!
Hahahahaha! :)

(I'm just thankful it wasn't on the walls too!!)

Warning!

Warning! Warning! Here comes Jackson!! :)

Lost!

A few weeks back, tragedy struck in our house. We lost Woody! We looked everywhere! We looked for days. We looked through the trash. We looked under the beds. We looked and we looked and we looked. Everywhere...that we could think of. And all the while, we were asked (like a thousand times), "Where's Woody?!" Jackson missed him so much! It was terrible. We as a family were grieving the loss of Sheriff Woody. We knew he was gone forever. Like for real, I was just about to log on to the Disney store and buy him another one. It was serious!

We would ask Jackson to help us look, well....because we knew that he hid him somewhere. And when we would say, "Do you know where Woody is?" he would say, "Come on! I'll show you!" and he would take us to look under our bed. Again and again and again. And he just was not under there! And then it would start again..."Where's Woody?!", "Where's Woody?!", "Where's Woody?!"!!!!

I. Don't. Know!

Until about 4 days later....on a stay home day, Jackson went to hide something else in one of his secret hiding places...and there he was!! In the tiny, skinny little desk drawer in the office. You know the one not big enough to put hardly anything. You know the one Jackson is not supposed to be playing in! :) You know that one place in the entire house that mama and daddy did not search because in our minds it didn't even register as a possibility because it is so small! :)

Jackson was so excited! He just came running and found me and said, "I found him! I found him! I found him!" We all were so happy to see Woody and that the mystery of the missing Woody doll had finally come to an end! It was driving us crazy! :)

Worst part was....Jackson did NOT learn his lesson and he was "lost" again before the night was up! And has been "missing" countless times since then!

*Sigh*

That kid is a mess! And he keeps us on our toes! :)

He is as big as I am....

.....where did my LITTLE baby go?

Seriously. He is growing up WAY too fast!
